Founded on a social enterprise model, SDA upholds social and entrepreneurial principles. By banding together, non-profit members can service clients on a nationwide level and coordinate their efforts and streamline their business practices. And the best part of all is that our organization creates employment for people with severe to moderate disabilities. It is estimated that within two years time we will have members in every state employing approximately 2,000 individuals.

Our mission: “To serve local nonprofit associations by providing standardized support and training in sales, development, operations, customer service, and contract maintenance.”

Our Vision: “To increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities by expanding commercial document destruction business at a national, regional, and local level.

SDA was formed to support nonprofit associations serve customers at a local regional and national level. SDA goals include:

  • Employment opportunities: Find business opportunities that will result in meaningful employment for people with disabilities.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction: Serve our membership so they can serve commercial customers.
  • Operational Support: Provide training, Research and Development, contracting, and customer support services to local NPA's entering the document destruction business.
  • Best Practice: Standardize best practices and ensure proper industry certification for NPA's entering the business.

All these goals help our members continue to create opportunity for those with disabilities while providing the highest level of service for customers locally, regionally and nationally.
